Changing Los Angeles Communities Block by Block.
Voter education is where change begins in our communities. Local elections provide us the opportunity to use the power of our vote to improve our quality of life.
Many Los Angeles City and Unincorporated residents don’t know which Los Angeles County District they live in. BLIP That!
BLIP: Bipartisan Lincoln Independent Project will educate voters about who represents them, who’s on the ballot during election time and what the candidates stand for.
Voter Education: Ballot Harvesting Fair or Interference
Do you think allowing a complete stranger to turn in your ballot should be legal?
In 2016 California Democrats passed a law allowing anybody, including paid campaign operatives and political parties, to collect and return mail-in ballots. Two years later Democrats prohibited “disqualifying a ballot solely because the person returning it did not provide on the identification envelope his or her name, relationship to the voter, or signature.”
Ballot harvesting is the practice of permitting any individual, including a complete stranger, to collect and return an unlimited number of mail or absentee ballots without a documented chain of custody or proper state oversight.
California law states those who return ballots on behalf of others may not receive compensation based on the number of ballots returned
Candidates, Judges & Ballot Measures
Exercising your right to vote in local elections is MORE IMPORTANT than national elections. Voting for local elected officials such as mayor, city council, county supervisors, district attorney, judges and school board members has a massive impact on your daily quality of life, communities we live in and schools for our kids.
Who we vote for in local elections helps us decide who we want representing us in Washington, DC.
Our local elected officials affect how much you pay in property taxes, where housing and schools are built, and where your city and county sets its priorities.
Increasing Community Public Safety
The #1 voter issue is PUBLIC SAFETY! Too many Angelenos don’t feel safe in their homes, walking their dogs, going shopping and/or riding the Metro transportation system. Even our unhoused constituents and RV encampment dwellers don’t feel safe at times.
Law enforcement recruitment/hiring is at historical lows and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently declared a public safety emergency due to deadly passenger stabbings and violent assaults against Metro bus drivers and patrons.
BLIP That! Better public safety is necessary now.

Infrastructure Protection & Upzoning Control
Protecting our freeways from unnecessary demolition and disastrous fire damage is a top priority of BLIP: Bipartisan Lincoln Independent Project. From the California 90 to the Interstate 10, our freeways are vital connectors to jobs, hospitals, schools, recreation, entertainment and family.
Residents MUST be actively engaged in the current upzoning of our neighborhoods
Upzoning Control
Los Angeles City is currently updating the Community Plans for four areas on the Westside: West Los Angeles, Venice, Palms – Mar Vista – Del Rey, and Westchester – Playa del Rey. Updates to the Community Plans for the remaining Westside areas (Westwood, Brentwood – Pacific Palisades, and Bel Air – Beverly Crest) will follow.
Los Angeles County’s Westside Area Plan focuses on the unincorporated communities in LA County’s Westside Planning Area. These communities are: Ladera Heights, View Park – Windsor Hills, Franklin Canyon, West LA Sawtelle VA, West Fox Hills, Marina del Rey, and Gilmore Island. The Westside Planning Area is one of the 11 planning areas established as part of the Planning Areas Framework in the Los Angeles County General Plan Update in 2015.
